Treatment will include manual therapy (massage), gentle ROM, progressive strength training and planned return to increased activity.

ACJ Injury

ACJ injuries are usually always from a traumatic event. This can be landing on the the point of the shoulder eg. contact sports or falling from a bike.

These injuries can be very sore and interfere with sleep and function. Initially a short period of rest will help to reduce pain but then treatment is important to gain back ROM, strength and function.
